Trusted Pools in Cloud Architecture

Trusted compute pools are collections of servers that have a verified as trusted signature from a known hardware root of trust. A pool of trusted servers forms the basis for audit and compliance report as a well as for a trusted infrastructure.   An End User proof of concept with Intel TXT (trusted execution technology) would be discussed showing how trusted compute pools are created in a Public Cloud environment, how secure VM migrations are enforced based on trust and also based on server location (“geo-tagging”) to meet FISMA compliance and other regulatory requirements.   See a demo of “Security and Compliance in the Cloud”

The Switch That's Just Another Server

Traditional hardware-accelerated data center Ethernet switches are like an alien species, with closed, proprietary software structure.  Switches from Arista Networks run a full, open Fedora Linux environment on x86 processors, and can thereby be viewed as a server that performs switching with an architecture that offers new opportunities to integrate the network into the larger cloud-computing environment.  In this presentation, I will show you what it looks like when your switch is just another server.
